The Historic Homes Tour

The Downtown Kalamazoo Historic Homes Tour has been postponed in 2011. The economic climate has prevented many of our beloved sponsors from contributing this year, and although we considered raising the ticket prices to offset the shortfall, we knew that many households are in the same situation. The Tour planning committee consulted with neighborhood boards, and with their agreement, we regretfully decided it would be better to cancel this year. 

We look forward to when "the sound of many hammers" again echoes throughout our beautiful Midwestern village... a better time for everyone. When that happens, we eagerly await the opportunity to bring you glimpses into the past. The Tour will be back, bringing you "sturdy Greek temples, Gothic cottages, rambling villas, turreted Queen Anne castles, and simple bungalows". Kalamazoo is rich in 19th Century architecture, to the delight of a 21st Century community, and we thank you for your past support in bringing our shared treasures to an appreciative public.
